Chico is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Experiential Therapist who has a passion for young men in recovery. Chico has been in the field of addiction for over 15 years, and has been sober since August of 1989. He served as interim director for the Center for Alcohol Education at SMU as well as the CEO of Burning Tree Recovery Ranch in 2000. Though he works with a variety of cases, Chico’s specialty is working with chemically dependent clients and their families, as well as people who suffer with Attention Deficit Disorder. Chico started Gaston House with the hope and passion to create an environment for young men to experience the joy of life free from chemical dependency.  In order to do this, he has set up a transitional living house that not only addresses chemical dependency, but also the entitlement issues of the young men who come through Gaston House.
