Will my insurance pay for treatment?

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and personal checks.
Can I visit my son in Gaston House?
We discourage “pop-in” visits. We would prefer visits be approved by the staff prior to your arrival and approved on a case-by-case basis.
Will I be able to talk to my son on the phone?
In most instances, yes. However we discourage excessive one-on-one parental action as one of the most important parts of our program is teaching independent living skills to clients.
What should my son bring to Gaston House?
Residents can bring personal twin bedding, towels and a pillow but these items will be supplied if needed. Residents will need personal hygiene products such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc. Also, residents can bring items such as cd players, laptops and other such electronic devices. Bring with you at least five changes of clothing.
How is the Gaston House Program different from other programs?
Our program is based on change occurring through community. Earn the right to be heard. We believe in contact in these young men’s lives. We believe that a personal relationship is where change occurs. Basically Young Life method. Earn being heard, change occurs in community, meet them where they are.
Will my son go to school while he is in Gaston House?
We encourage this if your son wishes to attend college classes while a resident. Help in registering as well as accountability and learning resources are available from staff.
Will my son be required to work while he is at Gaston House?
Yes. We require all residents to either be seeking employment or working 25+ hours a week in order to learn responsibility, job-seeking skills and to defer parental costs.
How long is the stay at Gaston House?
We expect residents to commit to a minimum 90-day stay. Most clients stay an average of 6 months, however.
What is the Staff to Resident Ratio?
We have a Staff/Resident Ratio of 2 or 3:1 depending on how many clients are currently residing in the house.
